Masters 2009; April 6-12, 2009O
Options for attendance, presented by EventsXL
The Masters is considered by many to be the ultimate sporting event to experience in your lifetime. It is also felt to be the most difficult ticket to find. Here are two approaches you might want to consider as options for attending. Both incorporate attendance of one or two days, actual golf play at a high quality course close to Augusta, food and beverage to compliment the overall experience, accommodations in a great Country Club atmosphere, and even, a souvenir to commemorate your experience. Take a look and see what might appeal to your needs.
Many of my customers have indicated a desire to experience the Masters in an exciting but “more affordable” manner. This is a quite a challenge as Masters is considered one of the toughest tickets to find, resulting in one of the most expensive events to attend. This is compounded by the lack of corporate level hotels in the immediate vicinity of Augusta, Georgia.
With all of this as background, I have assembled a package to address this “Affordable Masters Experience”. I feel it is best for close groups, personal or corporate. This program incorporates a Masters practice round in a “Golf Country Club and adjacent Guest House” setting. The guest house provides for 3-star accommodations with the convenience of Country Club golf right outside your sleeping room. The golf course has 27 separate holes of golf, full locker room facilities, complete dining facilities, tennis courts and swimming.
Your accommodations and Country Club experience are in the town of Aiken, South Carolina, approximately 30 minutes east of Augusta. The Aiken area provides a nice alternative to staying in Augusta where accommodations are not only limited, but very expensive, and seldom available for just a few night stay.

Here is another way to look at this. The 2008 Masters round on Thursday (first tournament day last year) cost roughly $1,350 just for the badge which allows you on the course. The other three days ranged from $900-$1,100 per day. For $800-$975 per person you get 2 nights hotel, 45 holes of golf, the Monday practice round, two breakfasts, two dinners, two cocktail hours, and a souvenir putter…..all of this while staying at a Country Club.
Having just outlined the more affordable experience of the Masters, there are those who will insist that the Masters Tournament rounds are a must see and a once in a lifetime opportunity. Once again a Country Club atmosphere works well as it offers accommodations and include actual golf play and much of your food and beverage.
